This ancient coin is so lovely and clear, it almost has photographic qualities to it- and what is so incredible, is that is is over 2200 years old!
it is ancient Greek from Thessaly, from the mid-late 2nd century BC.
it is a silver coin that is 23 mm in diameter, and depicts the head of Apollo facing right with a monogram to the lede
on the back side is Athena facing right with a spear and greek lettering on both sides
i have wrapped this beauty on 22 kt gold and gave it a bale of 18 kt gold
it attaches to a natural strand of shaded rubies- these are not dyed- the colors range from a deep muted pink to a maroon red. at the ends there are sterling clips as a front closure that is part of the design
length is 18 inches
