For ages, pomegranates have symbolized love, fertility, and abundance. Inspired by the ancient myth of Persephone, the queen of the underworld and the goddess of spring growth, this beautiful sterling silver pendant was designed and crafted by the artist and jewelry designer Sergey Zhiboedov (my husband).
The pendant is shaped as a half of a ripe pomegranate set with 10 lab created created ruby cabochons (3x5 mm each). The back of the pendant is textured to imitate the rough pomegranate skin. It also has a chain opening on the back (a chain is not included). Made of bronze and sterling silver and oxidized to bring out the details.
The pendant is 0.67" (17 mm) wide, 0.75"(20 mm) high, and 0.24"(6 mm) deep.
Hallmarked with the jeweler's stamp and 925 (sterling silver).
