Antique Wightman and Hough Jeweled Locket Necklace
{ca 1900}
Beautiful heirloom locket necklace featuring a double sided locket by Wightman and Hough. One side has a hand cut ruby paste set in the center. The other side hosts a beautifully scripted monogram SEC.
The locket opens and closes properly. The Wightman and Hough heart shaped stamp is on the interior panel. There are spots for two photographs to be tucked in.
Comes with a period twisted rope chain. Early locking catch stamped LS (Louis Stern?)
Locket measures 25mm in diameter, just over an inch high with bail.
Chain measures 19 3/8"
Light wear, fitting for age. The chain has a few areas with oxidation/thinning that have been left uncleaned and unpolished. Wear with care.
