Murano Heart Pendant - Ruby Rose & Peridot 24KT Goldfoil Heart Pendant - Venetian Murano Glass Double Heart with Swarovski Crystal

This is a real beauty, a Murano/Venetian glass heart with delicate colouring and 24KT goldfoil - as you can see from the photos, the shape is a heart within a heart, and I have made it into a pendant using vermeil (high carat gold over sterling silver) and swarovski crystal. The heart measures approx. 29 x 35 x 14 mm and this is ready to wear as shown.
Overall the pendant with hanging ring measures just shy of approx. 2 inches / 5 cm.

Murano glass (also known as Venetian Glass) is arguably the most beautiful in the world; handmade on the little island of Murano close to Venice, where glassworking factories have been since the 14th Century.
I am lucky enough to work with some of the best glass artisans on Murano - various factories (or individual artists) have their own specialities which means I are not merely dealing with a production line - but artists who take pride in their work and art; much of the glass is lined with precious metals (24kt yellow gold, white gold or sterling silver) to add to its desirability which gives the beads a distinctive inner glow and beauty.
