This necklace is strange and hauntingly beautiful. It comes with a chain so small it could only fit around an infant or young child's neck (trust me, I tried it on mine and even my chicken neck couldn't handle it). And the stone is an unknown... possibly Ruby, possibly Almandine or it could be several other red semi-precious stones. It's rich in color, glittering and gorgeous, set into a golden-hued metal cradle. The stone itself is very small as is the setting and chain, which is why I figured it may be baby jewelry. And what a beautiful thing to place around your child's neck at that!
I find it charming and there's something very... Middle Eastern about it. A pretty thing which could of course be placed on a longer chain if you wished to wear it yourself. Love it.
